Description

Wright's Coal Tar Vaporizing Liquid in a bottle with a black top holding a cork stopper. This comes with its box. Contents c.50 ml. Bottle 122 mm x 43 mm. Box is 122 mm x 45 mm x 27 mm. The principle was simple: a small quantity of the liquid was poured into a dish as part of the vaporizer and heated over a candle night light. It therefore gave off what was described as 'invaluable for whooping cough, croup, bronchitis, influenza and catarrhal conditions in the nose, throat and chest.' 'A combination of the antiseptic bodies contained in Wright's Coal Tar Soap giving an aromatic vapour which is a thorough antiseptic in the sickroom.' Good condition.
Contents: Pix Carbonis 0.25% v/v; Naphthalenum 1.50% w/v; Cresol 88.5% w/v; Olea Essentialia.
